At your scheduled move-in time slot, visit the Service Desk during operational hours to pick up your keys and welcome package. During the check-in process, you will be asked to provide photo ID. If you’ll be arriving after your scheduled move-in date, please plan to pick up your keys during office hours.

Please ensure that you bring photo identification with you as you will need this to collect your welcome package and keys.

Room Assignment

Room assignments are final, and students cannot request changes, except for accessibility-related reasons. The University reserves the right to change your suite and/or room number assignment to facilitate unforeseen or exceptional circumstances. As a historic building, each room at Knox Residence is one of a kind, and there might be some variations in size among rooms of the same type.

accessibility

Students with accessibility needs who require accommodations in residence should first register with Accessibility Services at the University of Toronto. Once registered, please email info.knoxresidence@utoronto.ca in advance of your move-in date with the appropriate documentation. A member of the Residence Office will work with you on your accommodations based on the letter provided by Accessibility Services.

Bicycles

Knox Residence offers a limited number of indoor bicycle spaces within our dedicated bike room, located on the lower level of the residence. To secure a space for your bike, you may submit a request to rent a bike space at the Service Desk. Until your allocation in the bike room is confirmed, making alternative arrangements for storing your bicycle is recommended. While awaiting confirmation, residents are free to use the outdoor bike racks located outside the building. Bicycles are not permitted to be stored in rooms or common areas.
