Our Fees
Occupancy Fees 2026-27
Our occupancy fees are comprehensive and include accommodation, utilities, internet and residence services, such as programming and staff support.

Residents also pay a non-refundable membership fee of $20 to the Knox Residence Council.
Please note that the fees listed on our website are indicative and subject to final approval. Final fee assessments will be conducted in accordance with the applicable policies and guidelines at the University of Toronto. Final fees update will be provided as soon as possible.

Dining Fees
All residents at Knox Residence are required to have a Knox Residence Meal Plan. Meal plan fees are additional to the room rate.

Deposit 1 is due to be paid before the deadline stated in the Resident’s Letter of Offer. Failure to pay either deposit by the stated deadline will result in the student’s space in residence being forfeited.
Cancellation Policy 2026-27
Cancellation Prior to Occupancy Period
Students who cancel before the beginning of the occupancy period will forfeit their deposits as indicated in the tables below. The only exception is for those admitted with a First-Year Undergraduate Residence Guarantee, who are eligible to receive 50% of the first deposit if cancellation is received by July 14.
Early Withdrawal from Residence
If a Resident elects to cancel and/or withdraw from the Residence after the Occupancy Period has commenced, a reassessment of the Occupancy Fee will occur in accordance with the tables below. The “Notice Date” is the date upon which the request to withdraw is received by the Residence.
